Meet-up & Event Guidelines

Dog Requirements

  • Dogs must be friendly, social, and comfortable in group settings.
  • Small dogs only, generally 25 lbs and under.
  • Dogs showing aggressive, reactive, or disruptive behavior may be asked to take a break or leave.
  • Up-to-date vaccinations are required, including rabies, bordetella, and any venue-specific requirements.
  • If your dog is coughing, has diarrhea, or is showing any signs of illness, please do not attend for the safety of the other dogs.

Safety & Responsibility

  • You are responsible for your dog at all times.
  • Please monitor play closely and step in when needed.
  • Clean up after your dog immediately. Accidents happen, so please come prepared.
  • Keep dogs leashed unless the space is clearly designated as off-leash. We try to offer off-leash opportunities at most, if not all, of our meet-ups.

Treats & Food

  • Please only give treats to your own dog.
  • Be mindful of allergies and sensitive stomachs.
  • Do not feed other dogs without the owner’s permission.

Etiquette

  • Please arrive on time to help meet-ups and events run smoothly.
  • Be respectful of the space, hosts, and fellow attendees.
  • If your dog seems overwhelmed, it is perfectly fine to step away and reset.

Community Vibe

  • This is a friendly, inclusive, judgment-free group.
  • Please be kind and respectful to all members and their pups.
  • Negative behavior, conflicts, or confrontations will not be tolerated.

Policies

  • No refunds or transfers unless otherwise specified. Events are self-funded and planned in advance.
  • Spots are first come, first served and are confirmed by payment.
  • No soliciting, selling, or promoting without prior approval.

Photos & Social

  • By attending, you acknowledge and consent to being photographed or filmed for use in Cavapoo Friends NYC content and for potential use by partners or sponsors across their social media and marketing channels.
  • Feel free to share your photos and tag @cavapoofriendsnyc. We appreciate it!

Final Note

Our goal is to create a safe, fun, and positive experience for all dogs and humans. If these guidelines are not followed, you may be asked to leave the meet-up or event.
